WHAT IS FRACOD2D?

The FRACOD2D code is based on the Boundary Element Method principals. It utilises the Displacement Discontinuity Method (DDM), one of the three commonly used boundary element methods. In the FRACOD2D code, a newly proposed fracture criterion, the modified G-criterion (Shen and Stephansson, 1993), is incorporated into the numerical method for simulating fracture propagation.
